WORRIER TO WARRIOR WORKSHOP
Combining the benefits of Yoga and Counselling Therapy to guide your Wellness Journey
Presented by Kelly Ranford, Registered Clinical Counsellor and RYT-200 Yoga Instructor
In this two-hour workshop you will learn about anxiety, it’s sources, and how yoga can help to activate a relaxation response as a coping strategy. We will practice pranayama, or breathing techniques, to bring calm in the face of anxiety. You will have the opportunity to learn individual asana (body movements) designed to bring relaxation and also experience an anxiety and stress reducing flow sequence to practice at home. Finally, I will guide you through a body scan and progressive relaxation, both techniques found to be helpful in healing from stress and anxiety.
You are not required to have any experience with yoga to benefit from this workshop and will be given resources to support you on your own personal journey.
